Poor customer service The last three or four times I went to your store in Raytown to get a oil change they never have enough help you get there early in the morning before they open and they want you to leave your car I try to make an appointment they tell me first come first serve they open at 730 I walked in the door at 7:35 they tell me I have to leave my car there was only one person there to get an oil change which takes 15 to 20 minutes max I asked the lady to take me out of Your system I will never come to any of your stores ever again do not make sense I can understand if its during the course of the day but first thing in the morning and they tell me I do not need an appointment and they tell me they cant do an all change when you say two or three people standing there I do not understand so I give you guys a F For service

The review is a bit late...but took the car for a brake work back in May. They had put on some lifetime pads a while back. After $2800 for a brake job, new tires and replace struts, they said that the CV was broken... After 3 days and additional $600 later they gave the car back. Car made severe cluncky sounds. took it back a month later as the wall well on came off and was dragging on the road. Calverts indicated that I must have hit something and later said that there as a bolt missing and that's why it made cluncky noises. They supposedly fixed it...Car still made clunky noises... Had a flat, took it to a different store, and they showed me one bolt missing of the wheel, and the other was stripped off! (From the tire replacement job ). Got that fixed... Fast forward 3 months... The CV joint broke off, and their response...bring it in we will see.... Stay away from this place... they are really poor in workmanship!

The Calverts in Fairview heights caused a major damage to my vehicle FROM lifting vehicle against transmission extension casing. Cost me an additional $500+. Their customer service is, NOT their fault because I have no proof they did the damage. Vehicle damage can NEVER be proved since customers remain in the waiting room. So they can damage your vehicle and you will have to foot the additional repair. STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY

I sent my daughter in for a long needed oil change. She had a coupon for 16.99. They told her it would be $70 for all synthetic (elwhich was a lie). I approved and paid for it. After leaving, an hour or so later, her car would not start. She took it to autozone for diagnosis and was told it was a sensor in the oil system. I had her call Calvert’s to take it back in. The manager screamed and cussed at her as no man should talk to a woman, much less a 19 year old girl. I then called and asked for the manager. I was put on hold and then disconnected. Thinking it was an accident, I called back and was told to never call there again. Keep in mind, I had only asked to speak to the manager. I then had her take the car to Firestone. Calvert’s had never even done an oil change. The car was 4 quarts low. They saw a 19 year old girl and believed they could take advantage and did. I paid $165 to Firestone for diagnosis, plugging the sensor back in and an oil change. I called Calvert’s corporate office. Initially they seemed concerned but then didn’t return calls or emails. All I wanted was my money back. This was a very very expensive oil change. The employees at this location are abusive, lazy, dishonest and unethical .

Rear axel bearingnoise.

Went to Calvert's in Raytown and they diag. a worn out rear axel bearing on passenger side. Replaced bearing - Price $462.71. Two months later the bearing is growling again so I take it back to Raytown store and they said the axel is bad also. In this application the rollers in the bearing contact the axel - there is no inner race on this bearing. They should have caught that the first time so they replaced the new bearing under warranty and replaced the old axel - Price $513.39. Two years and 14,000 miles later the new bearing and axel is growling AGAIN. The bearing & axel on the drivers side has 171,000 miles on it and not a sound. I take the car to Taylors All Cars and they inform me that the Calvert's tech. put the bearing in BACKWARDS. Taylors All Cars replace the axel & bearing - Price $500.00. Fixed correctly for almost half the price at Taylors All Cars.

Elder Abuse

They lie about the length of time your repair should take. I was told it would take two hours and was billed for six hours.

I asked the manager to explain my bill to me and he ignored the question and walked out on me. He is Mr. personally until you question him and then he becomes disrespectful. Will tell everyone I know not to use this business.

Consumer beware! Every time that I have used them I have been screwed. I was using them because they were convenient to where my home is located. Not worth it and I will not return.

It speaking with an employee that works at this establishment they even indicated that they needed new tires but would not even think of purchasing them at this store.

Too expensive. Once you present a coupon they tell your service is not covered.

Terrible customer service. I was lied to about what work I signed for. They did not honor their coupons.They yelled at me and fought with me. The old lady at the front desk has the worst customer service skills I have ever seen. By far the worst experience I have ever had as a consumer.

Went for oil change

They put oil on my engine and tried telling me it was leaking oil before I came from red wing Minnesota I had almost 2000.00 worth of work done no leaks then and after oil change and tried to tell me of other work that I knew was bogus also never will I ever go there again 1501 main St in kcmo

Bad service

I went to the location on Shawnee Mission Pkwy. I had a coupon for brake pads for 59.99. I told them my brakes were squeaking. I dropped my car and in about 30 minutes the service guy called and told me I need front pads and rotars and back pads and drums. The brakes never felt that bad, but ok, I have had the car 2 years and never replaced brakes so lets do it. He said approximate cost $680.00. I had the coupon for front pads, so I assumed when I went in, that would be deducted. Well that didn't happen, the not so friendly girl at the counter advised me I had chosen the lifetime warranty pads and they weren't included. I told her I was never given a choice. She then told me I wouldn't have wanted the 59.99 pads. How did she know what I would have wanted? I asked her why not, she said because of the year of my car. I asked was my car too old (2014) she said no, too new. Well that confused the heck out of me. I accepted it for what is it, paid her and left. Pulling out of the driveway I notice my brakes are going all the way to the floor. Yikes, so I go right back. the service guy drives it around the block, comes back the front pads are smoking. He said this is normal. I DON"T THINK SO. He also tells me the brakes will be fine after 500 miles. So for the next 500 miles I have to worry that my brakes won't stop me. This has been the worst experience ever. And I will share this with everyone I know.

Lied too

Went in for simple oil change and tire balance and rotation. Everything seemed fine but i watched the tech tighten the lug nuts with a air gun and socket.

When i went to pay i asked if they torque the lug nuts and was told they do. I said he didn't torque them and was told they use torque sticks. I told them no torque stick was used. He replied just a min at which point he went and talked to the tech.

He came back in and told me they torqued them by adjusting the air pressure. At this point i told them i was tired of being lied to and would go home and torque them myself. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

If they will lie about something little like this. BUYER BE WHERE

My husband’s truck was dropped off for a routine state inspection, wherein we discovered that a new oxygen sensor was needed. Not only did it take SEVEN hours to complete the labor (4 hours longer than what we were promised, causing my husband to be severely late for work), when the truck was picked up we saw that the dashboard had not been reattached correctly, causing warning lights and sounds to emit – not to mention they had smeared oil all over the dash and stained the carpet with it. As a result of their haphazard “work,” we had to take the truck back the next day so they could fix their mistake, which took another several hours (this time, my husband had to take an Uber to work at our own expense to avoid being late for work 2 days in a row, all because Calvert’s can’t manage their workload). I contacted the corporate office to request a refund of the first days’ services because, as the “services” weren’t even completed and I had to take the truck back the next day, I should not have been charged for something that was not properly completed. The regional manager said he would get back to me the next day, but never did. After giving him four days to offer me a solution with no communication, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which they also still have yet to acknowledge. Resolution has not been reached; the services I paid for were certainly not delivered. Do NOT to business with this company (even you can even call them that). Horrible work ethic, poor services, and total lack of customer service. Would not even recommend to someone I don’t like. Don’t waste your time, they don’t care about their customers at all.
